Awarebee is an application that monitors websites for changes. On this project, the Vilmate team is involved in design, user experience, branding, marketing and sales.

When Vilmate was approached by Malt Software with the request to assist in the Awarebee project, they already had a functioning product.
We knew that the kind of service Awarebee had to offer required a tight bond of comprehensive technological solutions, an unorthodox design approach, and a well-thought-out marketing campaign and promotion as the major challenge.

Since Awarebee's service implements the latest AI tools to deal with content scanning and analysis using different levels of computational power, another big challenge was to provide potential users with multiple subscription plans and the freedom of customization. It would allow customers to have more balance between the price and the intensity of the actual use of the service. Naturally, the final design version of the web app and the website was also our responsibility.

The target audience and potential customers of the Awarebee service are businesses as well as conventional users.
So, we had to provide multiple subscription plans to hit the goal for everyone.
In other words, concept design, online presence, endorsement, and further promotion were the crucial points we had to focus on in terms of the general strategy.

Solution provided

The first task we solved was creating the perceptual base for the brand Awarebee.
So, we created a brand book from scratch, where we gradually came up with the basic colors, forms, style of icons and fields, and the overall ways of adding an atmosphere of awareness and safety on all perception levels.

For managing the content of the website and marketing purposes, it was decided to opt for WordPress. This segment was to contain the overall information about the company, the product, all the needed data about subscription plans, etc. It was initially designed as a flexible platform, where admins could change the filling of the content blocks without much effort.

As for detecting changes on the web with the help of sophisticated Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing tools, which is the central feature of the service, we designed dashboards where users could easily adjust their subscription plans, notification alerts, and other behavioral patterns of the algorithms, right from the environment of their personal accounts.

This project stands out for me personally, as well as for the whole company. Right before we started planning and estimating, we knew that we'd have to cover all the areas involved in what we usually call a successful release. It was not only about front- or backend operations; it was about the perception and deep understanding of the idea itself and the atmosphere of awareness we tried to inject into the visual and even under-the-hood segment to some extent. I'm sure that it's just the beginning, and we still have a lot to discuss and turn into reality.
