Bannerflow is a Sweden-based provider of a Creative Management Platform for data-driven digital advertising.
The platform helps users manage the end-to-end advertising campaign lifecycle and address their advertising needs in one place. Vilmate joined Bannerflow’s existing development team to contribute technical expertise as the product continued to evolve.
The challenge
When Vilmate joined the project in December 2018, Bannerflow already had an established Creative Management Platform and an in-house team of technology professionals.
The company wanted to reduce the total cost of software development by extending its team with reliable outsourced specialists. The main challenge was to optimize the existing platform while gradually adding new features and supporting Bannerflow’s vision for a modern, responsive creative management platform.

The collaboration developed gradually, with Vilmate’s involvement becoming increasingly integral to Bannerflow’s overall development process.
Expand the team steadily
The project started with one front-end developer from Vilmate, followed by a .NET software engineer. As Bannerflow’s plans and needs evolved, the team expanded to 9 specialists, all working under the client’s direct management.
Throughout this growth, Vilmate kept the bar for technical expertise high, building a strong team of competent professionals capable of competing with its global peers.

Lightweight banner widgets
The team assisted with implementing the lightweight widgets that allow users to create banners for their campaigns without writing a line of code.
Backend development and integration
Vilmate specialists took part in developing server-side web application logic and integrating backend systems.
Creative Studio development
The team also participated in developing Bannerflow’s Creative Studio, supporting the platform’s broader creative management capabilities.
