Little or no documentation

Little or no documentation

You inherited a store with few records of how it was built. A technical review will document its main features, extensions, connected systems, and update process before further work is scoped.

An outdated Magento version

An outdated Magento version

An old Magento version may no longer receive security updates or work with newer add-ons. We'll review the setup to determine what needs updating and how much work it will take.

The upgrade-or-move dilemma

The upgrade-or-move dilemma

It may be hard to tell which path fits your store better. A technical assessment will reveal what an upgrade or migration would involve in scope, cost, and day-to-day operations.

What clients ask
about Adobe Commerce

Is Adobe Commerce the same as Magento?
Adobe Commerce is the enterprise product built on the Magento codebase. Many teams still use “Magento” as the general platform name, especially when talking about older stores, versions, or existing customizations. That's why both names often come up in the same project.
Can you migrate us from Magento 1 to Magento 2, or only newer versions?
We can migrate the store from and to any preferred platform. If you're still on Magento 1, we can move you to Magento 2. If you're already on Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce, we can upgrade you to a newer version.
Can you migrate from Shopify, BigCommerce, or another platform to Adobe Commerce?
Yes, we can move stores from Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and other platforms to Adobe Commerce. We make sure the important parts come with you: data, integrations, URLs, and SEO requirements.
Do you take on stores with no documentation or unclear customizations?
Yes. Our Magento development services can start with the store as-is, even if the documentation is incomplete or the customizations are unclear. We review the custom code, extensions, integrations, and store logic, then document what's there before planning further work.
How long does a typical Adobe Commerce project take?
It depends on what you need done. An upgrade may take a few weeks, while a larger migration or custom build can take several months. Once we learn more about your e-commerce platform, we can give you a more specific and realistic timeline and break the work into stages.
Do you support the store after launch, or is this a one-off build?
Both options are available. We can stay with the store after launch for updates, fixes, performance work, and new features, or wrap up once the agreed project is complete.

The Hidden Risks of E-commerce Replatforming (And How to Avoid Them) #E-commerce
Site slows down as traffic grows. Checkout fails in edge cases. Integrations are in place, but data still arrives late or is inconsistent. At some point, e-commerce replatforming becomes a reasonable next step. Move to a new platform, clean things up, and finally resolve the accumulated problems. Many teams go through e-commerce website replatforming, expecting […]

E-Commerce Website Optimization as a System, not a Checklist #E-commerce
You’ve probably been here before. You read a few listicles on e-commerce website optimization, maybe even tried a handful of “proven tactics”—optimize images, tweak your checkout, add urgency banners. Something improves. Something doesn’t. Overall performance? Still underwhelming. That’s where most optimization efforts get stuck. It’s not a lack of ideas or effort. The problem is […]

    B2B E-Commerce Website Development: Step-by-Step Process Explained #E-commerce
Everyone agrees that a B2B website is a must. The real stress begins a few weeks into the project. Pricing logic turns out to be more complicated than expected. Approval chains don’t fit neatly into the chosen platform. ERP integration exposes missing fields. Someone suddenly asks how repeat orders will work for multi-department accounts. And […]
