SFCC Store Stabilization and Enhancement
The client, a globally recognized greeting card brand with over 100 years of history, turned to us as part of their digital transformation. They wanted to improve platform stability, implement a structured QA automation process, and elevate the quality and consistency of their mobile applications.
The challenge
When we joined the project, the client already had a working e-commerce platform. It grew quickly and needed to be more stable, more flexible, and better prepared to handle everything from large seasonal campaigns to daily content updates.
Our approach
We started by building a team with the right expertise, including full-stack developers and a Salesforce Commerce Cloud architect.
Platform stabilization
The engineering team improved content and product data handling, optimized catalog performance, and introduced changes to the checkout flow.
Backend reliability required separate attention. We reworked system logging and aligned logs across SFCC, Node.js, and .NET services, making diagnostics more precise and helping the team trace issues across the backend. Another aspect addressed was gaps in analytics: we fixed incomplete tracking and restored key metrics.
The shift to automated testing
We moved QA from a mostly manual setup to a more automated and unified process. Key tasks included introducing automation, consolidating testing into one workflow, and improving early bug detection and performance tracking. The new process made testing more reliable and predictable across ongoing releases.
UX redesign for mobile apps
For the mobile apps, we improved payment and order flows, as well as customer-facing features. The engineering team fixed recurring issues with gift card payments and checkout logic, resolved mismatched PayPal orders in CyberSource, and simplified communication settings to prevent unintended SMS notifications.
Better security setup
We also reintroduced the platform’s chatbot and added Google reCAPTCHA to protect it from spam while keeping the user experience smooth and secure.

The solution
From day one, our team was fully committed—taking ownership, adapting to new processes, and collaborating closely with the client’s team.
Over a hundred critical bugs resolved
In the first few months, the team completed a few hundreds tasks from the backlog and resolved over 100 critical bugs, totaling more than 5,000 hours of work. The changes covered backend logic, analytics, UI details, and mobile responsiveness.
Daily error logs minimized
Daily error logs dropped by more than 3 million, reducing the volume of requests the client’s support team had to review and speeding up issue resolution.
Customer experience elevated
Payment, order, communication, and chatbot flows became more reliable. Altogether, this reduced manual work for the client’s team and unexpected issues for customers.
